At our first meeting I thought “the cameras are bigger than she is” but make no mistake, Jodi has the wisdom of an age old pro photog and the depth and quality of her work proves that. She was stealth when she needed to be and in the right place at the right time to get the great shots. She was a joy to work with and the results were stunning! I am a collector of rock photography and have worked with the legends and I look forward to soon having some of her work in my collection!
A great photo for me is something that stimulates my imagination and gives me a split second taste of what it was like to be a part of that moment. Since Jodi’s main strength to me is to capture naturally she is one of my favourites.
Most ‘Rockstars’ seem so confident, but really they’re a mess of insecurities. When we’re checking out the pics people send us from shows, our checklist is: How fat do we look? How old do we look? How many chins do we have? Are we soaked in sweat? Are we making intestinal pain faces? Jodi hurdles all our insecurities. Jodi’s aim is true. Much Love!
Jodi’s photography always captures the energy and excitement of our live performances that many others aren’t able to. Her band portraits of us are full of personality and they somehow makes us look more handsome than we actually are. She has an amazing eye and is able to capture that perfect, magical moment and she’s fun and easy to work with too.
Jodi is a great photographer with an amazing eye and timing for getting sweet shots! As well as being a cool and easy to talk to person, next time I’m in the UK I hope to work with Jodi again :)
Someone once said... ‘When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls!’ Jodi manages to capture not just the image but the heart of the artists she shoots whatever the medium and whoever the muse. She is pure rock fury fueled by passion and I dig her photos because they are real and a reflection of her. Although I have not known her long, it is the quality not quantity of time we spent together which our memories are made of, for a photograph is a moment in time captured forever and remembered in both the eye and the mind. All art requires courage and Jodi’s style is as brave and honest, otherworldly and experienced, raw and full of depth. Over the years, I have worked with many amazing men behind the lens and it’s great to have finally met an amazing woman who I am happy to now call my friend and look forward to working with her again.
After our first shoot together we knew we had found “our photographer”. Seemingly telepathically understanding and capturing our exact vision with what seemed like zero effort! I call Jodi a “stealth photographer” in that you really have no idea the shoot has actually happened and then she delivers amazingly iconic pictures!
It’s good to take pictures but it’s more important feeling relaxed, and Jodi had a great way of making me enjoy the photo session with her!
I’m never that keen on having my photo taken, but Jodi has the ability to make you feel immediately and at ease, because of that she manages to capture really natural moments and ultimately brilliant photographs.
Since I first saw Jodi’s work I was sold and knew she had a unique style of her own...she really captures the live experience accurately with grace..
Jodi was a pleasure to work with. She had a vision, executed it quickly, and with a great energy
